What’s going on in the Nursery – January

The Nursery in January – again

I haven’t been watching Netflix all Winter – honest.  (Skip to 2018 and the same applies)

To the untrained eye, the garden may currently look like someone out there has had a dirty protest – but I am a firm believer in the ‘things look worse before they look better’ school of thought.

I have stacked, assessed and reassessed my enamelware and vintage ‘stuff’, added canes for the sweet peas in the cut flower beds, covered and uncovered the overwintering hardy annuals (as the weather required), re-cleaned the greenhouse,  been on a seed buying bender, spread out the many, many packs of seeds I have bought and dreamt of frolicking through fields of wild flowers………..

………..A whole year later and the cycle continues.  2018 has arrived and I can’t figure out if I have more or less enamelware?  Where I put those seeds? Why the pressure washer broke mid use?  And why does it start to rain as soon as I put my wellies on?

Love your website – especially impressed by the way the monochrome changes to colour as I hover. Very clever!
Visiting Lavenders blue is always a pleasure. As well as the beautiful plants and interesting gardenalia, you are happy to offer your advice with a lovely smiley face.
